Hacking Forum Administrator Extradited To Face Charges in New Jersey Court

International Hacker named Sergey Vovnenko has been extradited from Italy to face hacking charges in New Jersey court. Sergey Vovnenko was also known as “Tomas Rimkis,” “Flycracker,” “Flyck,” “Fly,” “Centurion,” “MUXACC1,”  “Stranier,” and “Darklife,” among the fellow hackers community.



Vovnenko was accused of an international conspiracy to hack into the computer networks of individual users and corporations to steal log-in credentials and payment card data,  running an army of more than 13000 infected computers. He is also the administrator of famous criminal hacking forums "Botnet And Elite".


He was arrested last years in Naples while trying to traffic stolen credit cards accounts. The U.S secret service was tracking the Ukrainian hacker for a long time and finally with the coordination of Italian Law enforcement agencies he was arrested last June. Italian law enforcement agencies has been investigating with him during all this time and finally they handed Sergey Vovnenko to U.S authorities to face criminal charges in New Jersey Court.

Vovnenko has been facing some severe charges which includes: one count of wire fraud conspiracy, one count of unauthorized computer access, and four counts of aggravated identity theft, according to the statement from U.S. Attorney’s Office , District of New Jersey.

Vovnenko may face upto 30 years in prison for his Wire fraud conspiracy, which seems to be his biggest crime of all. He may also have to pay upto $1.5M in fines for his crimes of  Unauthorized Computer Access , Aggravated Identity Theft and Wire Fraud Conspiracy.
