How to add Google Adsense Custom Search on Blogger/Blogspot






  In this post, I'm going to share how you can add  Adsense Google Custom Search on Blogger/Blogspot. If you want to maximize your  Google Adsense this step is a must .



Below is summary what we will be doing throughout this tutorial


Steps 

1. Create Google Custom Search from your Adsense account
2. Create new empty landing page on your Blogger/Blogspot  .
3. Generate Google html code from Adsense page and paste into your landing page
4. Add Google search box in your Blogger/Blogspot
5. Re adjust your Blogger/Blogspot layout width .

1.1 Login to "Adsense account > My Ads > Search >New custom search engine"

2. Create new empty landing page on your Blogger/Blogspot  .



2.1 Create a new empty page as a landing page and name it as "search result" . Select  an older date so that it will publish as an old post . I choose a date before I start post anything.

2.2  On the Options, click "Don't allow"  for reader comments. and click "Publish" .

3.1 Fill in the box for your landing page URL on Adsense Google Custom page .

3.2 It will direct to the Search Box Code page. "Copy  search result code and paste into your landing page HTML search result page".

3.3 "Copy Popular Queries code and past it again in search result HTML page"

3.4 Don't forget to save the page and "Publish" it :-)


4. Add Google search box in your Blogger/Blogspot .

4.1 Go to "Layout >Add Gadget>HTML/Javascript"

4.3 Test it . Go to your site and use the search box . Search for anything . See how does the return result page turn out . If you have overlay problem as below,continue reading . :-)

5. Re adjust your Blogger/Blogspot template layout width .

5.1 Go to "Template >Customise "

How to make Google Adsense account work with new blogger custom domain URL



    In this post, I'm going to share how to  make Adsense account work with new blogger custom domain .This post is for Adsense user who are on "Hosted Account " .Adsense "Hosted Account "  is account title you get when you sign in with  host partner. If you register your Adsense account from Blogger/Blogspot, there is a high possibility you are on  "Hosted Account" title.



   In order to get your Adsense to work with your non-host partner  domain, you need to request for a account review.Non-host partner domain is domain that doesn't belong to host partner.This include domain that you registered yourself . This post show what you need to do to submit the application for review. It will take some time for your website to get approved from Google Adsense team, depending on your website traffic , website content and other related details.




Steps




1) Login to your adsense account . Check on top left side whether it show as " Hosted Account" . Make sure you are under "Hosted Account" before continue with this tutorial.

2)From the main panel, go to "Settings > Access and Authorization "





3) Key in your custom domain in the box an click "Submit" for review .

4)Go to "My ads >URL Channels > New URL channel" and add your URL as your new Channel

5)Claim sites and create new channel

6)Go to  "My Ads" ,add your Ads code into your website

7) Go to your "Blogger>Layout"  and replace the old Ads code with the new one

   After you update the Ads code, save it and Google Adsense team will review your application.It only took me  one day to get approval for my account. Below is snapshot of my approved account. Notice that the "Hosted Account" sign is remove. Once it is approved, your ads will be publish as normal on your new domain.

How to change Blogspot/Blogger domain URL to custom domain URL


   The new year is just around the corner, some of you out there might be thinking of updating their blog domain name to other URL . There are a lot of reason why getting your own domain  is encourage .You can have a read on what other blogger wrote about this topic  . Personally ,why I want to change my current blog name  because of the "name branding" and "URL promotion" attach to it  .

  In this tutorial, I'm going to share how you can change your blogger domain to custom domain URL . I will use the existing blogger free hosting function and will only change the site URL. I used Go daddy as my domain registrar. There are quite a few out there registrar for you to choose. If you are planning to use Go Daddy ,please use my ref feral  by quoting "WOWG33ky" .You will be getting 20% out off your purchase. Once you completed the linking between your new domain URL and Blogspot/Blogger hosting, you  don't need to do anything on your previous post. It will be updated automatically.

Below are what you will be doing throughout this tutorial .

Steps

1. Purchase a domain name
2. Link the new domain URL to Google domain server .
3. Save the setting in Blogspot.


Steps by steps :)

1.Purchase a domain name . You  are free to choose to buy  a domain name from any domain registrar .Below is quick suggestion that you can look into .
I will not write in detail on how you can do this  as it will use different interface for registration on different registrar . But the idea of it should be similar .You can refer it to my video for guideline

2. Link the new URL to Google server.

2.1 On Blogger ,go to 'Blogger>Settings>Basic ' fill in box for  your new registered domain URL . Then click save . The system will give an "Error 12 "  and you will be assign with  CNAME details. CNAME stand for Canonical Name record which is a resource record in the DNS .It is used to specify that a domain name uses the IP address of another domain .For more information,you can read here.

Pay attention to the second line in the  of the  CNAME. This is name and where it pointed to is unique to every user.

2.2. Login to your domain account and update the  CNAME  details. "edit" the  DNS zone file. Below is snapshot from Go Daddy DNS zone.

2.3 Look for CNAME table  and update the information from the Blogspot. Click the "pencil" sign to edit the "www" detail.

For the unique name and pointed field, click  "Quick add"  and add it on . Make sure both details are update in CNAME information table .

2.4(OPTIONAL) Updating the "A records" . A records is a table of IP address that will point to Google server. If you skip this step, whenever a visitor looking for your page who leave the "www" ,it will show as an error page. To point it to Google server IP, you need to add  below IP .

Don't forget to save the file

3. Save your setting in the Blogspot . If you do everything correctly,the server will notified your new URL and  "Error 12" will be  remove.

How to add Youtube Channel to Google Analytics



  
  In this post, I'm going to share how to add youtube channel to  Google Analytics (GA).

Steps


1. Login to your GA account  . If this is the first time you are using Google Analytics, Please go here for my guide on adding it to your website.


2.Click Admin>Property>Create new Property

3. Fill in the form and click 'Get Tracking ID' . Make sure your URL link success validate.

4. Go to your youtube page click 'Video Manager > Channel settings > Advanced'

5. Fill in  Google Analytics tracking code in your Youtube channel panel .

That's it . You are good to go. Check your GA account after a couple of days to view your youtube subscriber channel details.

How to submit your website to international search engine

  Having your website being found in the world wide web is crucial for those who use internet as advertising medium in their business . Normal internet user will use search engine to do their online searching and shopping .The idea of internet and business is that it break the natural demographic constraint as we have before .

   Search engine have their own method to find new sites .This method operates in the order of web crawling,indexing and searching. In this post, I  share how you can submit your website url to international search engine.

  This will make the search engine notice the site and will notify it's crawler  to find your page. Once you have submit your website,It is a good practice that you incorporate the function of translating your website to different language .One way you can do this is by integrating using Google translate button.

How to check your NEW website on Google search

  If you  have a new website, Having traffic is necessary to attract people to visit your page.For this reason, search engine always play an important role  . In this post, I'm going to share how you can check your new website on Google .

  If you can't find your website on Google search even If you have update  few time,don't be panic. It take time for new site to be include in the search engine.Give Google few weeks  for Google crawler to find your site . You can try different method and type in the Google search "site : (your website URL)"  .Below is an example how I look for my site on Google Search.

  To expedite Google Crawler to find your site, You can have it register on Google page.Please visit  here  to do so.

  After few weeks and you still can't find your page on Google,there might be few reason why this night happen.One of the most common reason is  due to  robot.txt file .Robot.txt file can determine whether you allow Google Crawler to find your page or not.You can do much more details function and specific way on how Google want to find your page by customizing your robot.txt file .You can read it here for more info.Before editing your  robot.txt file, make sure you know what you doing. There is no harm in testing you always learn something new :-)

   Google Analytics is one  product that we can use to improve our web site performance on the net .    In this post, I'll be sharing on how you can register and make your website being tracked by Google Analytics (GA).

Steps

1. Login and register to Google Analytics

2. Sign up and fill in the blank box (make sure you fill in everything)

3. Read the term & services and  click "Accept"

4. Click "get the tracking code".Page will be directed to the GA script page

5. Go to the website that you want to track, copy the script from GA page and paste it to your template.

6 . For Blogger, you can go to blog 'settings >other' and key in your GA Id.

2. Click your profile



3.Click create a new tag

4. Add your slashtag (any name)

5.key in your URL/website.

6.click search to add it to your slashtag
