Mark Zuckerberg Wife Priscilla Chan Are Opening A Free Primary School

Mark Zuckerberg Wife Priscilla Chan Are Opening A Free Primary School.

Priscilla is a doctor and going to start a Primary school in Silicon Valley town. She also working over the past year with the community to  combine early-childhood through 12th grade education with pre-natal support and on-site healthcare for children.

Mark official announced in his FB Page,

"I'm so proud of Priscilla for starting The Primary School -- a new kind of school that brings education and healthcare together.
Health and education are closely connected. When children aren't healthy, they can't learn as easily. Many kids and teachers across the country deal with the consequences of poor health in classrooms every day.
Priscilla has seen this in her work as a pediatrician and a teacher, so over the past year she's been working with our local community to set up a new type of school in East Palo Alto. In addition to early childhood and K-12 education, The Primary School will also provide prenatal support for families and on-site healthcare for children. By bringing healthcare and education together in one place, the goal is to support families and help children from underserved communities reach their full potential.
On a personal note, it's inspiring to see Priscilla grow as an entrepreneur and leader. I'm looking forward to watching with pride as she develops The Primary School into a great resource for our community.

What Does It Take To Create A Viral Marketing Video?

What Does it Take to Create a Viral Marketing Video?

Have you heard of those viral marketing videos that get shared hundreds of thousands of times, reach millions of people, and help generate immense sales figures?

If you have and you’re looking to create your very own viral marketing video the first thing you need to do is temper your expectations.

Take a look at the marketing videos that have gone viral recently and you’ll notice that most either feature celebrities or big brands, or are some strange and spontaneous ‘one-off’ event that can’t be emulated (although many people try, and fail). Make no mistake, this doesn’t mean that you can’t create a viral marketing video – it just means that you shouldn’t get into it expecting to get hundreds of thousands of shares.

Focus on Creating a Video that People Want to Share

As with any viral video, the main idea is to generate exposure by convincing people to want to share it. So ask yourself: Why do you share some videos and not others? In most cases it boils down to a question of whether you feel that video is useful, humorous, shocking, inspiring or appealing in some other way.

Sometimes it may even be a combination of those factors.

Use those factors as your guidelines when you’re deciding on the topic of your video and how it is going to be structured. One of the easiest types of videos that people find useful are video guides or tutorials, but there are tons of other options too that you can explore and look into.

Make Sure it Looks Professional

Above all else, you want to try to ensure that the video you create looks as professional as possible. Doing so encompasses numerous areas – but some of the basics include the overall video and audio quality, the recording quality, the voiceover, and any other extras that may add some aesthetic appeal.

To make sure your video looks ‘perfect’ you will need to be comfortable using the software to capture and edit the video that you need. If you aren’t quite sure about that, try the Movavi Screen Capture Studio out as it is easy to use and will act as a screen capture, webcam recorder, and video editor – all rolled into one.

Using it, you’ll find that you have total control over the video footage that you record and its features will not only allow you to set the screen capture region and frame rate, but also let you choose whether or not to capture keyboard and mouse actions too.

To polish it and ensure that it really does look as though it was professionally produced you will also have all the tools you need to edit your video. The Movavi Screen Capture Studio includes features that will let you cut and combine video segments, enhance the video quality, stylize the video with special effects and filters, and much more.

Take your time and be sure that you cover all the bases. Creating a viral marketing video takes time and effort – but if it starts to get shared widely (even if not hundreds of thousands of shares) it will be worth it.

Google is Set To Launch its Background Play Service YouTube Red

Google is Set To Launch its Background Play Service "YouTube Red".

YouTube Sent the information to all companies that they have to agree to new terms by Oct. 22 or their “videos will no longer be available for public display or monetization in the United States,” helps support that timeline.

According to a report by Android Police, an update to the YouTube app includes text that describes a product called YouTube Red as the service that enables background playback, a feature that has long been restricted to Music Key (and Music Unlimited) subscribers.

For years, YouTube’s fans have been telling us they want more — more choice when watching their favorite content, more ways to support their favorite creators and, above all, the option to watch their favorite videos uninterrupted.
To give fans more choice we will be launching a new ads-free version of YouTube, available to fans for a monthly fee. This service will create a new source of revenue over time that supplements your advertising revenue. That’s why an overwhelming majority of our partners — representing over 95% of YouTube watchtime — have asked for and signed up for this service.
As you heard in our previous emails, we want to ensure that fans who choose to pay for an ads-free experience can watch all the same videos that are available on the ads-supported experience. That’s why we’re asking you to update your agreement to reflect the updated terms for the ads-free service.
To accept, simply log into YouTube.com as “pakafka” from a desktop or laptop and follow the prompts by October 22nd.
If you haven’t signed by that date, your videos will no longer be available for public display or monetization in the United States. That outcome would be a loss for YouTube, a loss for the thriving presence you’ve built on the platform, and above all, a loss for your fans. We remain committed to working with you, as we always have. And of course, at any time, you can accept the updated terms which will make your videos public and monetizable again. Common FAQs can be found here.
We believe these new terms will greatly strengthen our partnership for the future. We went through a similar process three years ago when we began distributing and monetizing your content on mobile devices. Today, mobile represents over half of all watchtime and mobile revenue is up 2x in just the last year. Just as with mobile, we’re confident this latest update will excite your fans and generate a previously untapped, additional source of revenue for you.

If you have questions or encounter technical difficulties, we’re here to help: reach out to us for support here.

Finally Facebook is Working On Dislike Button Said Mark Zuckerberg

Finally Facebook  is Working On Dislike Button said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Now facebook has change its mind. On Tuesday, during the session of Q&A at Company HQ Mark Zuckerberg unveiled that they are working on "Dislike" Button

“I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years,” Zuckerberg said. “Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it.”

"People have asked about the 'dislike' button for many years," Mr Zuckerberg told the audience on Tuesday.
"Probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it."

What users really want is the ability to express empathy,” Not every moment is a good moment.”

Facebook has long shied away from building a “Dislike” button over concerns it would invite rampant negativity. “That isn’t what we’re here to build in the world,” Zuckerberg said.

Uber Hires Hackers For Secure Its Cars

Uber Hires Hackers To Secure its Cars

Uber, which is based in San Francisco, has made security a top focus this year after a breach of its computer systems in February. The breach potentially exposed the names and driver’s license identification numbers of as many as 50,000 of the company’s drivers.

Uber's Security team works to ensure the security of all code, systems and data used by our riders, drivers and partners. Application Security is responsible for working with engineers to design, build, advise and review security concerns across a diverse variety of projects.

Uber works on to secure their vehicles and hiring two hackers named Mr. Miller and Mr. Valasek

Mr. Miller and Mr. Valasek have made car hacking a focus. In August, the two demonstrated at the Black Hat and Def Con hacking conferences a way to control hundreds of thousands of vehicles remotely.

This year, Uber hired Mr. Sullivan, a respected information security engineer, away from Facebook.

Computer security engineers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek will work in Uber’s Pittsburgh offices,

Uber’s chief security officer, and John Flynn, chief information security officer. Together, they’ll work toward “building out a world-class safety and security program at Uber.”

“I’ve been in security for more than 10 years, and I’ve worked on computers and phones,” Miller told the New York Times last month. “This time, I wanted to do something that my grandmother would understand. If I tell her, ‘I can hack into your car,’ she understands what that means.”

Graphics Technology Bolsters Mobile Gaming Growth

Graphics Technology Bolsters Mobile Gaming Growth

Mobile games are everywhere. They have proven so successful that sales have grown by nearly 50 percent in the last two years alone.

In fact, it's anticipated that they'll overtake console games this year in total revenue. Suffice to say, mobile games are here to stay and appear to be out for blood. Without people even realizing it, the mobile gaming industry has brought about a seismic shift in the
marketplace.

How an Industry Transformed Seemingly Overnight

The reasons for the unprecedented growth of mobile games are many, of course. Perhaps most simply, mobile devices are everywhere, so it stands to reason that mobile games would be, too. Consoles may provide cutting-edge graphics and immersive gameplay, but until people figure out how to take their 60” televisions with them on the bus, they'll be relegated to use at home. And this, of course, limits their appeal, accessibility, and numbers. Smartphones and tablets pose no such hurdle.

If outright volume and availability of devices are the primary factors that enable more people than ever to play video games, the play-for-free model is what drives so many people to actually commit. Once a player is hooked onto a mobile title, companies can then make back their investment with advertising and in-game sales. Finnish company Supercell Oy saw its revenue triple between 2013 and 2014 with the help of this model. And it's a model that is pretty much the exclusive domain of mobile gaming, which gives these titles an advantage over console and desktop games.

Finally, the one thing that seemed to hold so many mobile titles back when smartphones and tablets
first hit the market in earnest – the graphics – is now no longer a limiting factor. With advanced mobile GPUs, multi-core processors, and retina displays now commonplace, today's mobile games have graphics and gameplay that are comparable to console titles – and easily surpass those of titles from a decade ago.

Initially spurned as being only for “casual gamers,” mobile devices are now being seen as the future. This is due in part to the massive adoption numbers, no doubt, but also because the hardware is getting better. Industry heavy hitters like Qualcomm are even developing chipsets specifically for mobile gaming, which bodes well for the future of the marketplace.

Consoles Aren't Extinct Just Yet – But Mobile is Likely the Future Console games still have a lot going for them. It's easy to find articles out there predicting their demise, but the reality likely isn't so dour. Consoles offer two things that mobile devices can't or don't: better computing power and a much larger viewing screen. Of course, as mobile chipsets continue to get better, this advantage will be chipped away, and already some mobile devices can stream to television sets, so that won't be the sole domain of consoles for long either. But for now, the advantage goes to consoles.

And then there's the interface. Most mobile titles still rely on a touchscreen interface while console titles employ controllers or motion capture devices. It's anyone's guess whether or not these disparate ways of playing video games will merge at some point, or whether one will come out triumphant over the other. Currently, they allow both types of games to exist in a happy balance. It's fair to say that console games aren't like mobile games, and vice versa. This works to both markets' advantage. But the writing does appear to be on the wall. Revenue from mobile games, in-app purchases, and advertising continues to grow at an impressive rate. And most industry experts seem to think that the
proverbial sky is the limit in terms of where the marketplace could go. With long-time holdout and
industry juggernaut Nintendo finally releasing its first mobile title this year, perhaps we could be
witnessing the tipping point right in front of our eyes?

Your Kids' Favorite Video Games Will be Mobile

So can consoles start making a comeback in the gaming war? Only time will tell, of course, but the safe money seems to be on mobile eking out a victory. And availability, fun factor, price, and yes, even graphics, got it there. Mobile games are getting better than ever while giving up nothing in terms of accessibility, affordability, and convenience. Really, it's no wonder that they're redefining the marketplace in their image.

How Independent Retailers Can Be More Successful in 2015

How Independent Retailers Can Be More Successful in 2015

Owning a small business is an exciting venture because it allows entrepreneurial spirits to really go after their vision with a larger capacity of flexibility to adapt to situations at hand. As an independent retailer, you get that running a smaller company is a lot of work due to often-limited resources but it is completely possible to get things done and do them well so long as there is focus. With all of your grand ideas and goals, make sure you key in on the following tips to ensure 2015 is a prosperous and productive year for your business to take off.

Leverage 2015 Technology

Have you heard of synced-device technology? If you haven’t, welcome to 2015. Syncing devices for work means streamlining processes and optimizing general everyday operations. Think cloud-based server that helps your employees receive the same information, emails, shared documents, etc., in real-time – it keeps everyone in the loop and ready to work. Furthermore, synced technology helps to mobilize everyone in the company to be able to do their job from their phone, on their laptop in a plane, and even off a tablet at a big convention. Not only do synced device technologies enhance internal communications but also client communications. Whether it’s responding to a customer inquiry via Twitter, emailing back a proposal for review or taking a customer’s online order and processing it right away, the innovation was built for top-notch customer service execution and business operations in mind and it’s something your company will want in place to generate the best outcomes.

Dig into Data

You always hear buzz words like “big data,” “analytics”… ahem, “Google analytics,” “consumer behavior trends”… Well, there’s a reason why they are buzzing. Technology has made collecting data a breeze and the ability to access this information even easier. You as a business have the ability to see how many people open your promotional emails, how often people are looking at the Facebook business page, and if you participate in online advertising, those platforms can capture crucial information that can paint the profile of your top consumer. Utilize this plethora of info for the greater good of your company’s financial well being by proactively reacting to it. In other words, anticipate what your potential purchaser’s next move is and beat them to the punch using various marketing tactics such as paid ads, email offers and follow-up communications.

Stay in the Know

Chances are if you were “crazy” enough to start your own shop, you probably are pretty passionate about what you’re doing. Whatever your particular industry is, immerse yourself in it. That means knowing the competition, attending relevant conventions and networking events, reading trade publications (online and print), and getting in the shoes of your consumers by doing activities they would do so you can better understand their thought processes. In this day in age, knowledge is at your fingertips thanks to things like the World Wide Web – use it to your advantage and be an expert at what you’re trying to sell.

Cash Is King and Doesn’t Come without the Customer

Always remember that the customer is the lifeline of your business. Yes, you already knew this, but it’s imperative to not forget. Show your direct investors you care and are grateful for their business with personalization. This can be in the form of direct outreach, timely attentiveness and adjusting to specific client needs. You’re an independent retailer – these are all actions that can easily be executed because there aren’t bottlenecks (often found at larger corporations) when trying to cater to a consumer.

Recruit Employees Who Add Value

Speaking of a smaller setting, you also have the power to empower your company with the right people. Every team member has a major impact in a small business so hire employees that add value and understand the bigger picture you have for the business. Creativity should be an important attribute to look for during recruitment – you want out-of-box thinkers who can figure themselves out of any obstacle, a standard activity that comes with running a small business.

Social Media, Obviously.

The world is living on social media. It’s on smartphones, tablets, computers. It’s how brands engage people. You know you need to do it. Make it a top priority for 2015. Enough said. Capitalize the nimbleness you have as an independent retailer. Your business, whether you want it to grow or content with it as is, has more control of implementing changes at a more efficient and quicker pace compared to big companies. Use these focal points and this year should be a good one and a great one at that.

Can Big Brands Survive The Budget Smartphone Market?

Can Big Brands Survive The Budget Smartphone Market?

Flagship mobiles ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs.55,000 are not a hard choice anymore. There are clear reasons to go for Samsung mobiles, LG, HTC, Motorola or Sony based on your needs and they clearly dominate top end spectrum of the market with clear advantages in hardware and overall package.

But the same doesn’t apply to the budget smartphone and mid-range section of the market now.
Choosing a Mobile in price range between Rs.8,000 to Rs.25,000 is harder than ever. With so many
competitive options from new players in the market and presence of high quality Chinese OEM’s the
decision making is getting tougher.

As consumers we always want the best known brand and maximum value for money, but do big brands offer the same value for money they used to anymore? Let’s have a look at how the smart phone landscape has changed and if it’s for the better or for worse. Three to four years ago an unknown brand or a relatively new brand automatically meant subpar experience and bad build quality because it was mostly tier 2 and 3 Chinese manufacturer in the market or Indian companies with re badged Chinese phones. This was one of the main reason many new phone companies never survived through the Nokia, Sony and Blackberry era, since all they brought to the table was low pricing with abysmal service and quality.

Things have changed and mostly for the good with top tier Chinese manufactures, like Xiaomi, Oppo and Meizu, entering Indian market. These brands are offering high quality products at low pricing and forcing the Indian companies to pick up their game. Their marketing is also strong enough to get the attention. Best thing about this is that the term budget smartphone doesn’t mean a compromise anymore and companies are offering great phones even at lowest of budgets which consumers are embracing. Flash sales from companies like Lenovo, Xiaomi, Oneplus on Flipkart and other online marketplaces managing to sell out all their stock in under 10 minutes week after week is a testament to just that.

If you take a look at the offerings right now none of the tier-1 manufacturer can compete in budget and mid-range segment of the smartphones anymore, Motorola being the only exception, which making a comeback story after short affair with Google.  After testing many budget and mid-range phones I can gladly say that even phones which are priced at just Rs.8,000 offer smooth and seamless experience while still maintaining decent build quality.

Older companies now realize that to survive in such a highly competitive market they not only have to offer competitive pricing but also top tier service and quality of products. This has led to many big
companies to stop offering phones in the budget segment altogether and focus on the top-end and mid-range devices only. This strategy is similar to what Micromax did in Indian market. They launched by capturing the lower most segment and then went up with the canvas series. The newer companies are doing the same by generating volumes and buzz with lower end of the market and then slowly go up to cash out on the buzz.

But why eCommerce companies are moving to mobile app only?

Are they worried about web maintenance and its security ?

we don't think so. Flipkart is big company in INDIA. Yes we agreed that mostly people are purchasing through Mobile App but as looking the part of security, company should work on their App security now.

Flipkart's last fundraising round in May 2015 had pegged its valuation at $15 billion.
