Hackers of iPhone awarded $1 Million Bounty

Apple has been claiming that its iOS9 cannot be breached. However, this claim has been rendered futile by a group of unknown hackers. Acting on a bounty offer from Zerodium, these hackers could successfully jailbreak iOS9.1 and iOS9.2b devices.

The actually challenge was much tougher than simply jailbreaking the Apple devices. Zerodium is a security firm that works with several government agencies. It offered the bounty of $1 million to those who can jailbreak iOS powered devices and the findings will be kept secret for the use of only these government agencies. These will not be released to the public and the name of the hacking group is kept a secret.

Zerodium is still evaluating the jailbreaking exploit. As a part of the attack criteria, it was essential that the jailbreaking needs to be done in a remote manner using browsers such as Safari or Chrome and through messaging services. It means that it is not a single exploit and required multiple exploits or a chain of exploits to jailbreak Apple devices with iOS9.x.

After the large bounty was announced, various teams tried to work on the vulnerability but only one could succeed. Companies like Google announce their own bounties to white hack hackers who can reveal their vulnerabilities so that these companies could patch them. Apple does not follow this practice and instead claims to be highly secure. Apple is not completely incorrect either.

The jailbreaking instance of iOS9.x is the first in last one year since the exploit of iOS7 and it took the announcement of a bounty of $1 million for someone to succeed at jailbreaking iOS9.x. It shows that Apple devices are actually quite secure. Even the government agencies have complained about the inability to breach the encryption of iOS9.x devices. It seems Zerodium might have found an answer for them.

Apple bans over 250 apps from its App Store

Apple has banned more than 250 apps from the Apple App Store after it was found that these applications were gathering and transferring personal information of the users such as their email addresses, other apps that are installed on their devices and even the serial numbers of their peripherals such as battery and camera.

These apps were unearthed by the internet security firm SourceDNA that found that an app that updates the searchlight of the mobile devices was snooping on the private API (Application Programming Index) of the device on which it was running. This led to further investigation and SourceDNA discovered that there are around 256 such apps that access the private APIs of the users and steal their information.

Further investigations revealed that these apps were developed by various Chinese developers who have been using an SDK from Youmi, a China based advertising company. Youmi has been involved in such practices for around 2 years now which means that millions of users have been affected by such apps.

Apple has taken an immediate note of it and has banned these apps from its App Store. Apple has always warned its users of not downloading apps from sources other than Apple authorised sourced. However, users do not even remotely assumed that the apps downloaded from the App Store of Apple itself can contain malicious codes.

It was just a few weeks ago when we saw XcodeGhost, a fake Xcode for developing Apple apps. It also originated in China and unassuming app developers, especially in China who are affected by the slow download from various sources including Apple instead inadvertently downloaded the fake Xcode – XcodeGhost. When they developed apps using the fake Xcode, the malicious codes were transferred to these apps that were later uploaded to Apple App Store and were downloaded by a large number of users.

Apple announces a bounty of $3 million for identifying bugs in iOS 9 | IOS 9 | Iphone | Apple |

Apple has released the latest version of its coveted operating system for mobile devices iOS. The latest version of the iOS is iOS 9 and it is already being touted as the most secure and save version of the operating system that powers iPhones and iPads, the mobile devices of Apple.
Apple has introduced rootless technology in iOS 9 which makes it impossible to jailbreak the devices that run iOS 9. Since there is no root, rooting is impossible and therefore jailbreaking is also improbable.

There have been several reported incidents of bugs and malware that have affected Android and iOS users. Among the attacks faced by Apple, XcodesGhost is one of the most sophisticated and unique attacks that Apple has ever faced. The malware affects not just the Apple apps but rather its Xcodes so that it goes unnoticed. When developers use this bugged XcodesGhost to develop apps, the malicious codes get loaded into the apps. Several of such apps were uploaded on Apple App Store and affected various devices.

Jailbroken Apple devices have also been hit by several bugs. It is because of these factors Apple has made certain technological innovations in its latest version of the operating system iOS 9. Even popular jailbreakers are finding it impossible to jailbreak iOS 9. Apple has challenged anyone who can jailbreak iOS 9 with a bounty of US$3 million.

A famous hacker Tem PanGu has stated that the beta version of iOS 9 has been jailbroken and hackers are working on jailbreaking iOS 9.1. However, no official statement has been announced about the jailbreaking of iOS 9.1.

Jailbreaking iOS 9 is not impossible but very difficult. It is very complicated and would be very
expensive for anyone trying to jailbreak. A bounty of $3 million is aptly priced for such as huge challenge.

iPhone 6S Plus Tips And Tricks

iPhone 6S Plus Tips And Tricks

The new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus feature 3D Touch for the first time, which opens up a whole host of possibilities when it comes to using your phone.

However, of equal significance may be the launch of Apple's newest operating system, iOS 9. Combine the new hardware features with the new software, and you're left with a phone that is practically all new. It may be called the iPhone 6S, but it really does represent a leap forward.

So, if you're thinking about picking up a new iPhone 6S Plus (and why wouldn't you, given that T-Mobile offers free 4G LTE data and Apple is offering payment plans for the first time), here's what you need to know to get the most out of your device. These are the essential iPhone 6S Plus tips and tricks!

Bring Your Photos to Life
You've likely heard about this one already, as it played a big role in Apple's keynote for the new phone. But, it's pretty impressive and kind of clever, so it bears repeating here. By default, any photo that you take with your iPhone 6S or 6S Plus includes roughly a second and a half of video footage. Apple calls them Live Photos. Whether you think of them as animated GIFs or mini (mini!) movies, the feature introduces a new way to enjoy and interact with your photos.

Tip: When viewing your photos taken with the iPhone 6S, simply press and hold, and the photos will come to life.

App Shortcuts
One of the biggest areas of focus for iOS 9 is making things even more intuitive and simple. Apple is continually improving its operating system with the goal of making things as easy and logical as possible. One new feature that people are sure to take advantage of is the app shortcut. Put simply, you no longer have to open an application to actually use the application. Apps can now be opened with a shortcut menu, which puts the most commonly used features right at your fingertips.

Tip: Press and hold on an app to get a mini menu of common features and functions. Want to post a photo to Instagram? You no longer have to open the app.

Get a Sneak Preview
The concept here isn't all that different from the apps shortcut function. The idea is to provide you a window into a commonly viewed media, like an email or web page, without having to actually open the file or page itself. For example, say you want to read the contents of an email without actually clicking on it and opening it in your email provider. Apple's new sneak preview function enables you to do just that; click and hold and a preview will appear. Remove your finger and the preview instantly goes away. Pretty useful, actually.

Tip: Press and hold on an email or website, and a preview will appear. To make the preview go away, simply remove your finger from the screen.

Turn Your Keyboard into a Trackpad
Fixing a typo or inserting a lost word into an email or text message can be a pain. Placing your finger at the right spot of the message and making sure you press just so is hardly the easiest means of making a quick correction. Apple seems to agree with that assessment, as the new iPhone 6S includes an intuitive trackpad functionality. In the event you make a typo or forget to include a word or two, you can simply hold down on the keyboard, and your screen suddenly turns into a trackpad. Navigate the cursor where you want it and be done.

Tip: Press and hold on your keyboard to turn it into a trackpad. You can then quickly swipe your finger back and forth to bring the cursor where you need it to be.

Speak to Siri on the Go
If you're one of those people who uses Siri for actual tasks, and not merely as a bar trick, you probably discovered long ago that one of the application's biggest downfalls was that you had to summon it by pressing and holding on the Home button. The entire notion of a voice command system all but demands that you should be able to use it without your hands. And though iOS 8 brought that dream to life, with the new iPhone 6S, "Hey Siri" has finally matured. When you set up your phone, navigate to Settings and toggle on the “Hey Siri” feature (it is now turned off by default). Complete the voice recognition activation, and now you (and only you) can speak to your phone.

Tip: Activate “Hey Siri” in your Settings, and you'll be able to call up Siri anytime, simply with a voice command – whether your phone is locked, turned off (not powered off, of course), or sleeping.

FamilyTime Review – Everything You Want in a Parental App

FamilyTime Review –Everything You Want in a Parental App!

Nowadays parents are really concerned about their child’s online and offline lives, because they are more prone to danger and can get themselves into trouble easily.

But they think that they are too smart and can do nothing wrong, but parents know better than to keep their eyes shut. You have to admit that teens do out smart us a lot of times, because many parents still use the old-school ways of keeping an eye on their children. Well guess what, they can’t anymore!

A lot of parental apps are available which offer different features, but each lacks in some aspect.  But a lot of parents prefer FamilyTime. This parental monitoring app has some interesting features to offer. I tried this app myself and here’s my FamilyTime review:

An overview of FamilyTime
FamilyTime is a parental control app which lets parents monitor their child’s online and offline activities. This app is free for parents and gives a 7-day free Premium trial when they add child profile(s). Even after the trial is over, the app is really cost efficient. Parents and children have different dashboards; parents can access their dashboard from their smartphones and laptops both. From a single dashboard, they can view their teen’s profile, can add as many family members as they want. Moreover, they can set different parental controls for every profile!

Sign up in a single step and activate!
Parents can either register on the website or download the app directly from their phone.  After making a parent account, they can login and add their kid’s profile. After installing the child app on your child’s phone, a code will be received which has to be entered in the child’s app to activate. For every profile added the subscription charges have to be paid separately. But even then,it won’t cause a dent on your budget.

Specs and features
When we talk about features and specifications, this app has so much to offer! This app has a wide range of location and web monitoring features. It not only gives you the location of your child but it also gives you the time and date stamps of every location visited. It lets you monitor your child’s phone usage and allows you to limit it. Some of the features in detail are:

Filter contacts and view call logs
FamilyTime lets you view your child’s contacts the same way they appear on their phones, along with any email address associated to that number. It also lets you view their call logs to see who and how often they contact a specific number along with the time duration.
You can add a suspicious number to your Watchlist and get alerts every time your child contacts it. It updates parents every time their child adds a new contact.

Monitor installed apps
FamilyTime lets you monitor all the applications installed in your child’s smartphone or tablet. You can identify any inappropriate apps your teen is using and Blacklist it. This way, they will not be able to use any adult or unsuitable app. Also by looking at app usage frequency you can view which app your teen views the most.

Location and Geo-fencing
Don’t want your adventurous teens to get into trouble? Well FamilyTime lets you keep an eye on the whereabouts of your teens along with providing you their location and date stamps. Don’t want him to go to that notorious pub or want to know when he gets to and leave school? Simply Geo-fence the address and get alerts every time he enters and exists the location.

Other features include:
PickMeUp  alerts
SOS alerts
Locking your child’s phone in case of theft
Ability to view your child’s web history and bookmarks

The best part is that, FamilyTime is compatible with and available for free on all Android’s and iPhones.

FamilyTime: The future of parental controls
FamilyTime can be a life savior for parents who are out of town too often or want to take every step to ensure their child’s safety. The best features of this app are location tracking, mobile lock and app blocking. These, along with many other features and the growth in its popularity, suggest that FamilyTime is the future of parental control apps!

If you have any questions and feedback on my FamilyTime review please comment below. Happy parenting!

Android Lollypop and iOS 8 differences

It has been 8 years when back on June 29 2007 the first iPhone was launched and since then it has seen 6 generations. The operating system used in iPhones is iOS and currently it is iOS 8 is the OS used in the iPhones. The closest competitor to the iPhones are the Android enabled smart phones offered by several mobile phone manufacturers. Android is an operating system of Google and is used as the standard operating system in several of the mobile phone models of top mobile phone manufacturers. Android has since the beginning given iOS a run for its money.

When it comes to choosing between the two, the users might consider the functionalities of the two operating systems and based on their preferences can choose the appropriate operating system.

User Interface
Google has introduced Material Design with Android 5.0 and is intended to create an impact over the users. Android has a bold interface and creates a uniform display across the various apps. Apple on the other hand has incorporated a minimalistic interface in its iOS since iOS 7 and the interface is highly intuitive, sleekly designed and is clutter free.

Notifications
Until the previous versions, the notifications on Android were displayed in the notifications areas and the users could choose from the specific apps notifications. iOS to the contrary allowed users to have a customised setting that allows them to view notifications for specific apps in a specific manner. Users can therefore choose the apps for which the notifications are to be displayed. With Lollypop, Google has included a Priority Mode in the Android notification function and hence it is now similar to iOS.

The above features leave very little to choose between the two operating systems and individuals used to using one particular operating system may not move to the other one since they may not finding something new. However, apps designed for Android can function on iOS but not the other way round. This could be a constraining factor for iOS.

Top 6 Cyber Security Threats For iOS Devices

Top 6 Cyber Security Threats For iOS Devices.

A recent study found that one in 1000 devices is infected with mobile surveillance and mobile Remote Access Trojans (mRATs).

These attacks are found on both Android and iOS devices; in fact 47% of the infected devices were iOS based challenging the assumption that an operating system’s security measures make it impervious to exploits. The following is a summary of the six most common types of attacks that
impact iOS mobile devices and the basic requirements for protecting against them:

1. iOS Surveillance and Mobile Remote Access Trojans (mRATs)
These attacks jailbreak a device, which removes all the builtin iOS security mechanisms, and install surveillance and mRAT software that gives the attacker the ability remotely to gain access to everything stored and flowing through the device. Attackers can jailbreak the device by physically obtaining access or by propagating the jailbreak code from a compromised computer through a USB
cable. However, It may be the attacker doesn’t need to jailbreak the device themselves device owners are quite notorious for their desire to jailbreak their mobile phones and tablets. For example, in February 2013, a jailbreaking technique, nicknamed Evasi0ngarnered 7M hacked devices in just four days.

Once jailbroken, any iOSapp from any app marketplace can be installedon the device
just those apps approved by Apple in their proprietary
app store. A popular alternative app market is Cydia, but many others exist. These markets offer a variety of legitimate apps, however, they also contain hundreds of seemingly innocuous apps that hide malicious functionality. Users downloading these apps are unknowingly infecting their own devices with mRATs.No mobile AV exists to protect against these threats. The problem is exacerbatedby the fact a jailbreak can easily be hidden from Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. For example, popular forums, such as xCon, freely provide methods to circumvent MDM detection. What’s neededis a way to detect accuratelywhen a device has been jailbroken and the ability to identify surveillance behavior.

IN 1000 DEVICES IS INFECTED WITH MOBILE SURVEILLANCE AND MOBILE REMOTE ACCESS TROJANS (MRATS).

2.Fake iOS Enterprise or Developer Certificates
These attacks use distribution certificates to ‘sideload’ an application (with malware), which means it doesnothave to go through Apple’s app store validation process and can be downloaded straight onto the device.Apple provides two different 3rd party certificate types developer and enterprise to
try to maintain the integrity of the apps in their store. Developer certificates allow developers to test their apps before they go public in the app store while enterprise certificates provide organizations the opportunity to establish their in house marketplace for dedicated apps.

Behind the scenes, iOS validates that a trusted certificate signs each appbefore allowing it.
Problems occur when an attacker canobtain (e.g. by stealing or buying on the black market)
a certificate for their malware. They can then lure the user to download their seemingly harmless app and unknowingly infect their device; because the certificate accompanies the app it is validated and easily installed, without barriers. This method has already been seen in use. In mid2013, a rogue Chinese site It has also been revealedthe FinFisher mRAT Used developer certin its exploitation.
It is simply not possible for Apple to monitor the installation of every developer and enterprise application and certificate, so it comes down to having a solution that can detect, block and remove apps usingstolen or fraudulent certificates.

3.Malicious iOS Profiles
These attacks leverage the permissions of a profile to circumvent typical securitymechanisms to do almost anything ultimately. A profile is an extremely sensitive optional configuration file that can redefine different system functionality parameters, such as mobile carrier, MDM and network settings.
A user may be tricked into downloading a malicious profile. In doing so, he may unknowingly provide the rogue configuration the ability to reroute all traffic from the mobile device to an attacker
controlled server, to further install rogue apps, and even to decrypt communications. Any changes to a profile need to be flagged and carefully considered, even when seemingly innocuous at one time LinkedIn introduced an iOS app that made changes to the device’s profile to reroute all email through their servers (They discontinued it three months after its introduction, due to the controversy over it’s capabilities;

To prevent data exfiltration, a solution needs to be in place that can not only detect rogue or altered profiles, but also block and remove them to eliminate the threat.

IT IS SIMPLY NOT POSSIBLE FOR APPLE TO MONITOR THE INSTALLATION OF EVERY DEVELOPER AND ENTERPRISE APPLICATION AND CERTIFICATE.

4.WiFi Man in the Middle (MITM)
MITM attack occurs when the device connects to a rogue WiFi hotspot. Since all communications are passed through the attacker controlled network device, they can eavesdrop and even alter the Network’s communication. MitM attacks have always been a concern for wireless devices, however, the prevalence of smartphones in an individual’s personal and business life has made mobile devices much more attractive targets for this attack.

Unfortunately, the typical alert and warning signs that individuals are used-to seeing on PCs and laptops are much more subtle in their mobile counterparts.

For example, the limited screen real-estate of mobile devices often hides URLs from the user, so they do not validate the URL the browser is pointing to is actually the intended one. The best way to thwart these types of attacks is through the use of a VPN to encrypt and isolate the communications. Ideally the VPN would be triggered only when rogue hotspots and other risk factors are detected to maximize the user experience.

5. WebKit Vulnerabilities
WebKits enable web browsers to render web pages correctly for a user. Attackers will exploit Vulnerabilities in a Webkit to execute scripts of their own. Attackers commonly use themes a springboard for remote device infection
.
An example of a WebKit was the popular iOS4 jailbreaking technique, named JailbreakMe It took advantage of flaws in the Safari browser to enable users to jailbreak their device when they visited a dedicated website.

To prevent malicious WebKit exploits requires a solution that can identify suspicious behavior and correlate activity with events on the device and network and then stop any data being sent to
the attacker.

6. ZeroDay Attacks
Zeroday attacks represent exploits of vulnerabilities that have been uncovered but not yet released. With vulnerability researchers earning purportedly $500K per vulnerability, the race towards
exposure is in full throttle.

Many times, these vulnerabilities lead to the silent installation of attacks, such as mRATs on a device through a remote exploitation technique. Once on the device, they may enable the attacker to steal passwords, corporate data and emails, as well as capture all keyboard activity (key logging) and screen information (screen scraping). They may also activate the microphone to listen in on conversations and meetings, or act as a botnet to steal contacts or text messages (SMS texts).
AV solutions, which rely on known attack patterns to detect attacks, are unable to provide protection for unknown attacks. Organizations need a solution that can identify any suspicious behavior from an app, a device or the network to find and mitigate the impact of zeroday mobile exploits

Apple Music Giving Free Trial Streaming Service To Taylor Swift

Apple Music Giving Free Trial Streaming Service To Taylor Swift.
Apple will pay artists for streaming, even during a customers free trial period!

Apple Music will make a big appearance with 30 million melodies on June 30. After the free trial, the administration service will cost $9.99 per month for every client or $14.99 per family, and Apple will start paying performers.

The organization had been forceful in courting craftsmen for the administration and has contended they ought to be paid.

“We don’t ask you for free iPhones. Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.” Swift wrote.

Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989. She is an American singer-songwriter and actress.

Senior Vice president for Internet and software Eddy Cue said in Twitter.

“We struggle to see why rights owners and artists should bear this aspect of Apple’s customer acquisition costs,” claimed indie label group Beggars Group in a statement published on its website.

“As a whole the independent sector is a powerful voice in the music industry but its individual parts , the smaller labels particularly, cannot withstand such a potentially catastrophic drop in revenue,” added British indie trade body AIM in a statement sent out to its members.

Play Fun Games With Your Friends And Family By Heads Up App

Play Fun Games With Your Friends And Family By Heads Up App.

Featured: Heads Up app
You can spend the long winter evenings playing games with your friends and family. However, finding a fun game that everyone likes can be difficult. A couple of years ago, the most popular games to play in cultures and societies were board games. Board games usually involve a board and pieces that need to be moved. It is all about strategy, chance and fun. One of the most famous board games is ‘Guess Who’. This guessing game can be played by two persons. Each player starts a board that includes pictures of 24 people. Before the game starts, a card is picked from a pile with the same 24 persons. By asking your opponent questions, you try to be the first to determine which card he or she picked. Thereby you need to ask questions like ‘’Is it a man?’’ or ‘’Does he have a moustache?’’. Your opponent is only allowed to answer with ‘’Yes’’ or ‘’No’’. So make sure to ask closed-ended questions and of course the right ones! A variation on this popular board game is the hilarious app Heads Up.

What is the Heads Up app?
The Heads Up app has gotten its fame from the well-known Ellen DeGeneres show. Ellen plays this game with the guests on her show. A fun game, which you can now play at home using your mobile phone! This works very well. You take your phone and place it in front of your head. The screen will show a name or theme that you need to guess from the other players’ clues. You only have 60 seconds to find out what is on the screen, so use your time wisely! The screen shows names of celebrities, movie titles, animals, characters and even accents. Did you guess correctly, than you lower your phone. If you want to pass, you lift it up. How many cards can you guess!?

This app has some disadvantages. Sadly, you have to buy each additional deck (99 cents) separately and the app does not keep track of your scores. Another disadvantage is that the app is a little slow sometimes, so it does not always react when you move your device up to pass or down for a correct answer.

Try the Heads Up app for a hilarious evening with friends and family! In order to buy this app you can purchase an iTunes gift card at www.itunescard.com.

Google Play Store Have More Apps Than Apple App Store

Google Play Store Have More Apps Than Apple App Store.

Google Play Store
According to appFigures, a report platform that analyses data of apps that use its platform, the Google Play Store currently contains more apps than the App Store of Apple. This is mostly the result of the unprecedented growth of the Play Store in the past few years. The iOS App Store also saw a significant increase in their sales volume, but not equally in their market share. One of the main reasons the Play Store exceeded the App Store of Apple is its number of developers. As the report of appFigures points out, Google has many more developers on board.

Developers
This raises the question what causes this difference in number of developers. Is it more appealing to develop apps for Android than for Apple? The answer is yes and no. On the one hand, Android has a larger marketshare and therefore it can be attractive to work for them. In addition, the terms and requirements of an app in order to be approved are less strict for the Play Store. So as a developer, if you’re not willing to run through a extensive process, you’ll probably prefer Android to Apple.

On the other hand, regarding the money you make as a developer, you should definitely join up with Apple. Analytics Company App Annie found out that iOS App Store developers earn 60% more money compared to their Android-colleagues. As a result of this difference in revenue a lot of developers launch their creations in the Apple App Store first, before approaching Android.

The future
That said, let’s take a look at the number of apps of both stores. The Google Play Store offers just about 1.43 million apps, while the iOS App Store contains about 1.21 million apps. It’s a difficult task to forecast the extent to which both stores will grow in the near future. But regarding the past few years we expect Google to maintain and maybe even expand their current market leadership.

Interested in buying apps from the Google Play Store? You can both easily and safely do this with a Google Play Gift Card.

Your Samsung Smart TV Is Spying On You

Your Samsung Smart TV is Spying on You.

TV has never been this smart! is what Samsung’s motto about its SmartTV’s, and it does the same what it says.

If you own an all new Samsung's latest breed of plasma's and HDTVs, it may allow hackers, or even the company itself, to watch and listen your private conversations, and collect extremely personal data. Really Shocking! No?

The new models of Samsung SmartTV offer high-tech features that have previously been unavailable, including a built-in HD camera, microphone set and face and voice recognition software. This software allows the company to recognize the person watching TV and personalizes experience accordingly. It also listens and responds to specific voice commands.

As the market of connected devices — aka the Internet of Things — boomed, so does the voice recognition technology in number of devices, as the voice-command feature gave us hands free control to our smart devices.

But, did you know that a small, tucked away sentence hidden in the dense "privacy policy" for Samsung’s Internet-connected SmartTV gave the company authority to record everything you say and send it to a third party?

The string of words was first spotted by a Reddit user on Thursday, which reads that the company may "capture voice commands and associated texts so that we can provide you with Voice Recognition features and evaluate and improve the features."

"To provide you the Voice Recognition feature, some voice commands may be transmitted (along with information about your device, including device identifiers) to a third-party service that converts speech to text or to the extent necessary to provide the Voice Recognition features to you."

Okay, the above lines are almost conceivable. The lines are something what most of the customer service call, supposedly recorded to make the users’ experience far, far more enjoyable.

However, the following paragraph is in question:
"Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of Voice Recognition."

What does the company tries to say? Is that means if, as a Samsung SmartTV user, I decided to go "live in the future" and turn on "Game of Thrones" using my voice, the TV will translate that speech to text and at the time, whatever else I say would be send to third-party companies.

Many accused Samsung of spying on its users and selling its data for profit, however, there is no such evidence of data sleuthing recorded yet.

When asked about the latest accusations, Samsung told The Daily Beast that "In all of our Smart TVs we employ industry-standard security safeguards and practices, including data encryption, to secure consumers' personal information and prevent unauthorized collection or use," adding that "customers can turn the feature off or disconnect the TV completely from your wifi."

However, the worse thing is that the company will still gather usage info and any other text-based inputs for data mining purposes even if we haven't turn voice recognition on, as it also notes further down in the policy. So full marks to Samsung for clarity in its policy.

Samsung says, "If you do not enable Voice Recognition, you will not be able to use interactive voice recognition features, although you may be able to control your TV using certain predefined voice commands. While Samsung will not collect your spoken word, Samsung may still collect associated texts and other usage data so that we can evaluate the performance of the feature and improve it."

Samsung provided the below statement with additional details about the working of its Voice Recognition SmartTV feature in response to this issue. The company also suggests consumers with "product concerns or questions" should contact it directly.

"In all of our Smart TVs we employ industry-standard security safeguards and practices, including data encryption, to secure consumers’ personal information and prevent unauthorized collection or use.

Voice recognition, which allows the user to control the TV using voice commands, is a Samsung Smart TV feature, which can be activated or deactivated by the user. The TV owner can also disconnect the TV from the Wi-Fi network. Should consumers enable the voice recognition capability, the voice data consists of TV commands, or search sentences, only. Users can easily recognize if the voice recognition feature is activated because a microphone icon appears on the screen.

Samsung does not retain voice data or sell it to third parties. If a consumer consents and uses the voice recognition feature, voice data is provided to a third party during a requested voice command search. At that time, the voice data is sent to a server, which searches for the requested content then returns the desired content to the TV."

How Can You Direct Transfer Data Between iPhone And Android Phone

How Can You Directly Transfer Data Between iPhone And Android Phone?

Many users want to transfer data between iPhone and Android phone devices. The main problem is transfer the data into different OS.

To Transfer The Contacts:
If you have Google account then you wouldn't have such problem.

For Setup:
Go to the settings of iPhone-> Mail, Contacts, Calender
Once you entered in contacts section then select Default account. By default it's ticked on iCloud but you have to tick Gmail here.

All your contacts will be copied in seconds because they are uploaded on the same Google account.

To Transfer The Music:
Just sign in to the Google Play Music from your new device.
Download and install the music manager and select the iTunes option.

To Transfer the Data from Mobile to PC and PC to Mobile:
Import your images and videos from your iPhone to your Windows PC.

Follow these steps:

  1. Connect your iPhone to your computer via the iPhone’s proprietary USB cable, preferably using a USB port at the back of your PC.
  2. Open My Computer. Under the Portable Devices section, find your iPhone’s storage and right-click on its icon.
  3. Click on Import Pictures and Videos from the menu that pops up. This will cause your PC to scan your iPhone for images and videos.
  4. After scanning completes, click on Import to copy found images and videos to your PC. The default location for the copied files will be in a subfolder in your My Pictures folder.
  5. At this point, you may now unplug the iPhone from your PC.
  6. Next, copy the imported videos and images from your PC to your Android device.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Connect your Android device to your PC via USB cable. Your Android’s storage should be automatically detected.
  2. Open your Android device’s storage and navigate to the image folder. This is usually the DCIM folder. If you want, create a sub-folder to copy the iPhone photos and videos that you will be copying in the next few steps.
  3. Open the My Pictures folder on your PC.
  4. Copy the imported images and videos from your My Pictures sub-folder to your Android’s images (sub)folder.
